Dear SteamGifts,

I know some of you are having problems with Steam's Family Sharing.

Anyway, I found this petition for Steam to fix there broken system hopefully

As for the problem I have, If 2 family members of mine are logged in playing a game we both mutually own. We are both given a 5 minute (We are going to kick you sticker) then at the end of 5 minutes we both get kicked... yet we both own the same game and we both are playing it off our library's. This is probably a bug but I know other people in the petition and on the steam forums are having the same problem.

On the bright side: when it does work. I do love Steam's Family Sharing.

Please consider signing it :D
Also, I have no idea how to make a link clickable :-(

This needs a change.org petition? Isn't Family Sharing a beta, and it makes more sense to just report such bugs to them?

I unfortunately tried, my bug report was deleted :/ tried twice too..both times it was deleted. So, I sent a email and no reply yet. But, it seems I am not the only one having issues with it.

And that is why it's called a BETA. It will most likely get fixed in the future. If it is a bug.

Can't hurt to raise more awareness about the bug though?

I'm not convinced that creating petitions is the most efficient way of reporting beta bugs. In fact, I'm so against the idea that I've set up a petition to put an end to people creating petitions for this purpose.

Please don't take offence. I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling.

Please sign my petition if you think that this reply is the most sensible thing you've read in this thread.

Gotta make you understand...

I don't think that petition is for your problem.
It's gear towards making Valve make family sharing not kick people at all unless they're playing the same game to which I say, no matter how awesome Steam is, at the end of the day, it's still a drm.

That petition you linked, there's nearly no way Valve would allow it. There's already various "let's buy game together and share account" deals around net, this petition - while actually something that should be implemented has no way of getting through.

Unless they would go with "need same IP to be able to Family Share" or something similar...

How does your problem relate to that petition? In the situation you described, you aren't even using the sharing.
"yet we both own the same game and we both are playing it off our library's"

What you mentioned is a bug, steam should fix it. The petition? can't help but hate on that stupidity and ungratefulness.

The problem you listed needs to be fixed. Making it per game sharing and not library based? Not so much.
