Does anyone know if it can be done? I've been trying to get this as an MP3 for YEARS!

I want to out it on my phone as a ringtone.
It's one of my top 3 all time favorite tracks from one of my top 3 all time favorite anime.

Thanks in advance.

Sadly keepvid got hit hard and they don't allow you to rip audio or videos anymore from YouTube.

I just made one. I used www.clipconverter.cc and Pazera Audio Extractor. Clipconverter can output to MP3 as well, but I have never tried it. They also usually won't let you download music from Youtube, but this one worked.

As posted above, there are quite a few sites which can do this for you - but if you want an application for downloading and converting internet video, I've tried hundreds over the years and the best I've come across is VSO downloader - you have to pay for the full version, but it's absolutely worth it and will never give you any headaches (which I can't say for any of the alternatives I've tried).

I've been using 4K Video Downloader for a while now. It's well made, good UI, good amount of options, very easy and simple to use and it's free.

This is going to sound odd but type pp after YouTube in the url. Hit enter. Scroll down. Mp3. Download. Done.

Hmmm. I tried that just now and don't see an MP3 choice.

Weird. I just tried and it works for me. 2.5mb mp3. The menu for different qualities, and formats is beneath the video preview image on the page. I'm using mobile so I don't know if that affects it but past I used a browser os it still worked.

Have you ever tried using google search? There is sooo many tools that do it for free.

Yes. I tried before. I'm just not that adept at these things unless it's taking off a cd.

If you're not afraid of the command line, youtube-dl is so good (THE most powerful tool), and not just for YT. You do need to have Python 3 installed and also have ffmpeg somewhere in your path so youtube-dl can find it.

That's the correct answer. Pretty much every software you can find will use Youtube-dl and just build some awful UI on top of it. So cut the middle man and use youtube-dl yourself.

I don't want to sound rude, but wanting something for years when it can be solved by one quick google search is kind of odd and sad...

You aren't being rude. But I kind of forgot about it until recently. >_< I had the original on VHS for years. Been a while.

as mentioned above. Clipconverter

https://www.clipconverter.cc/

Put the following as a bookmark location. Navigate to you page of choice on youtube. Open this bookmark and it will use the data from the page you were just on to pull data from.

javascript:(function(){%20window.open('http://www.clipconverter.cc/?ref=bookmarklet&url='+encodeURIComponent(location.href));%20})();

Thanks. That worked... I hope. Going to transfer to my phone now.

I am NOT a trusting person when it comes to some of these sites. >_<

You can trust clipconverter. It's good. I stopped using it only because they refuse to make videos into audio if it's licensed music. They got hit with lawsuit threats.

Thank you everyone that gave suggestions! I'm sorry I don't have anything to make as a GA right now. But thank you all anyway. I have the ringtone I have been wanting!

jdownloader 2 downloads all media types if you simply copy the youtube link, and has various media extensions.

That's the way I would have suggested too. And as a download manager it's a very powerful tool when used in that myriad of pay sites like nitroflare, rapidshare...

I agree. Also the only tool I know of, that can handle "download protected" music videos in 1080p (VEVO stuff).

Years ago, I bought a licence for Total Recorder. It's a piece of software that lets you record anything that comes out of your speakers. Granted, it's not free but it's a universal solution.
