So I'm going to quit Team Fortress 2. I haven't played it for a long time now, and decided to get rid of the items in my inventory. Could you guys help me with how much does it worth? Set the price in keys and/or metal please, because I plan to trade with it.

Thanks in advance!

AFAIK, you probably won't get a whole lot for your inventory, since most of the stuff you can trade is pretty common stuff. The refined metals could help you get a pretty cheap bundle/deeply discounted game, if you find someone who's into trading refs for games.

Unfortunately, I'm not good with TF2 prices, so I can't tell you a price. Just don't expect it to be as high as you want it to be.

I don't expect it to be that high, I (obviously) did some trading to get the hats and other stuff, but that was way before steam market. 1 key was around 3 refined, etc. Now that I took a look at the prices on trade servers I'm totally lost with what is the worth of stuff.

34 ref (http://backpack.tf/id/76561197979055514)

You have only a few items and they're easy to sell. So you can have pretty easy cash out. Scrapbank all the weps on scrap.tf and then sell the few other items. Then you can sell the metal / keys for games or paypal. Just be careful with paypal transactions, you might find a lot of dbs that will just try to scam you.

backpack.tf is your place to know the value of each hat in metal. Trade the hats for metal and craft the weapons, then buy some keys and sell them on the market (if you are looking for money)

Try to find the values here it will give you a good idea what they are currently worth. The weapons you have are all worth more as refined metal than as weapons at least nothing stood out when I looked. Team Captain is a decently valuable hat. The rest are not worth very much.

Your backpack isn't worth jack. Just melt down the weapons and raffle it all away.

Thanks for all the answers. One more thing; I'm looking at trader empire right now, it even shows a price for haunted metal scrap. What makes it dirty or unique?

If an item can't be crafted and or traded it is considered dirty. Your High Five taunt for instance is dirty.

AFAIK, Haunted Metal Scrap is always non-tradeable (and your HMS certainly is), which makes it worthless.

There are some glitched Skulls / Headtakers (crafting result from HMS) that are tradeable, those are worth something, but the glitch has been fixed -> anything you craft with your HMS will be untradeable and therefore worthless.

I was told that it still can be traded with gift wrap.

True, but the value of a gift wrap far exceeds the value of the HMS (especially since everyone can get it for free), thus it's worthless.

Edit: well, the backpack.tf pricelist says, the Headtaker is worth 3 Keys, whereas a giftwrap is worth 1 key - but I'm not sure if the value of the Headtaker means a wrapped one or a glitched one.

Edit 2: if you want my advice: try to sell your Taunt and Team Captain for 1 key each, convert everything else into metal (preferably try to sell your hats at spreadsheet prices).
If you want to cash out (paypal), try to trade your metal for keys first.
If you want to trade your TF2 stuff for games keep the metal, you will find some guys trading bundle games for metal on steamtrades.

That is exactly what I'm planning, either keep the keys to trade them for games or sell them, don't know yet.
Thanks for the help.

I thought that the title meant that you would be quitting TF2, but needed help with your hat addiction =/ A vicious cycle; you quit because of your addiction, but you will end up comming back because of it...the reason why you need help.

Yes. That must be it.
