I thought it was just a turn of the phrase "American Dream". In all seriousness America is still great compared to the rest of the world including all of the other so called western countries but it's getting worse all the time. The federal government needs to be radically downsized, tax code needs simplified with a decrease in overall tax burden for the citizenry, and spending needs to be reduced to just the bare essentials. In other words... Ron Paul 2012.

It's truly amazing that Ron Paul could be brought up in the most random of placesplaces. I'm very thankful for his work in congress and I too believe in a full restoration of republican government that the founders of our country intended us to have, right now it seems an American revolution down the road is inevitable... I'm European and usually we speak of United States for the country and to differentiate when needed we say North America and South America, separating continent halves from America as USA.

When someone says "American" they are almost never referring to the continent, but the "United States of America", the inhabitants of which are known as "Americans" because what the fuck else are you going to call them? If someone says "North American", then you include Canada.
