I know I'm late because GoI's actual Birthday was few days ago but it is my very first game bought on Steam, I liked it a lot and actually it's the only game I wrote a review for. Sorry, in Italian
For those that still didn't have a chance to play it, here is where to look. Lv. +3 only.
For the rest of you, did you like it?
And what's your first game bought on Steam?

Thumb down! D:

My first Steam purchase was Hinterland way back in 2008. I still remember that game fondly, so I guess it was a good purchase?

My second purchase was WarZ, now known as Infestation: Survivor Stories D:
I took a while to get back from the hit, passed 5 months before the next purchase.

Bump!

Thank you! :)

If I win it I will definitely try it.

And my first game bought on Steam was Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (1 march 2014). I play CS since I was 15 (I'm 27 now), but only tried CS:GO last year.

Then 8 jan 2015 I bought something different than CS, The Cat Lady, because I saw a CS streamer playing it and liked it, and look where I am now, 293 games. ;_;

Overcrowded Steam library is an issue many of us are experiencing T-T

You are living in the golden age of Steam Libraries.

There were dark days, way in the past, when there were no bundles, no Steam Gifts, no help. Every game was full price, unless there were sales, but those only really started later.

Now it is the future, with seasonal sales and bundles and even free keys for crappy indie games. Steam Libraries flourish, but some prophets speak of a pending evil, a dark age, where... well, bundles suck. So I guess it's already here.

LOL!

Yeah. Sales and bundles are great! And greater is that you can even make money out of it (free keys of games with cards, CS:GO with drops and stuff).

Before Steam I used to play only CS on PC and other games I played on consoles, when the games were easily... well... redistributed by non-official sellers ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

And even greater is the fact that now I can pay very cheap for those games I loved and got from those non-official sellers (even if I won't play it again, I buy the ones I liked the most in the past, makes me feel better), or that it is for sale anymore in physical stores (Max Payne 2? Baldur's Gate? etc).

I love this era. I never imagined I could pay something like $3,50 for Skyrim (its the $ equivalent of Skyrim's prince in our currency), and that is the amount I paid for MOST of the AAA+ games I have in my library. Games that are only 3, 4 years old and are still awesome.

And then $1 for a bundle that even if I only like 1 game, I can giveaway the others and that is great.

Wow, I've never checked that Steam page. Nice.
First game was Half-Life 1, but I've messed up my account then and lost it.

The 1st game I got on steam was CS Anthology(CS 1.6, CZ, DoD and some other games) in 2011.

But the actual game I bought directly from the steam store was Ace of Spades, which I totally regret it ;_;

28 Oct, 2013 EVE Online: Starter Pack Steam Store
31 Oct, 2013 Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Steam Store

yeah i discovered steam, and pc gaming in general a bit late :D been playing some random pc games otuside of steam for years, but that was very very casually though. Well i did play 10000's of hours of football manager series on pc before, but that was pretty much the only game i used to play on pc so yeah -.- I played pretty much every championship/football manager game since... 98 or so? so yeah, i bet i spent quite a few hours in those games combined, over the years :P

funny thing is i never actually tried Eve and havent even bothered with installation because i got new vegas a few days alter :P, but it was like my first day on steam and i first thing i could see was a famous game on 75% off, couldnt resist really :D

The best part is, I don't think I put over an hour into the game after purchasing it. :(

Neither did I, unfortunately. I kept dying before I could really get far into the game and then stopped playing.

GoI is one of the best multiplayer games around, I love it, and also should go back to it. >_>

My first game in the list is Dota 2, that I don't even play (I used to play Heroes of Newerth and, for a short time, LoL, but mainly I used to play the original DotA on Warcraft III). Anomaly Warzone Earth doesn't count, so the first game that counts is A Valley Without Wind, that I don't really like.

Basically this is a free bump, but thank you anyway. :)
