Me, I love pinball! I have the majority of the tables and I am trying to circle between them each time because I like variety and that way it's not easily getting boring. I don't have a favorite though. Maybe it would have been a good idea to include a poll with the tables so people who play them could vote for their favorite. If someone wants to have more friends who play FX2 to compete with their scores they can add me!

Adding a poll would of been a kool idea.. it's too bad I can edit one in. I have 8 tables, 9 total with the 1 free one. I sent ya a request :)

Love this game. Started playing with Pinball FX (1). Now I play it everywhere :D
Favourite one, I always think deciding on one of many you like is pointless. I love every single table, except one, but that one isn't on Steam anyway. Sure, I could make a selection of those that I love more, but beyond that, no point.
Don't have Bethesda, AvP and Women of Power yet. Fingers Crossed for 50% off during Summer Sale. It's just getting to expensive to get them fresh.
I also do the rotation. With so many tables, when you come around, each one feels completely fresh.
How do you guys play, keyboard or gamepad? The latter for me.
Added you Fate and Endless.
Comment has been collapsed.
I play on both just depends on the position I'm in. I do prefer the gamepad though.
Comment has been collapsed.
It feels nice to use a controller's triggers in a pinball game, so definitely controller for me - xbox 360.
Accepted!

I don't have the X360 wireless receiver so never got to use it on PC. But I bought myself an XONE gamepad.
I have to say, yesterday I played Rogue One table back to back on Steam and then on X360. For the first time I thought to myself, damn, this XONE gamepad is great (and I love X360 gamepad).

I play on a tablet, so I use the touchscreen controls. Otherwise, I use a gamepad. I also use the gamepad with Pinball Arcade.

FateOfOne, you already know I love Pinball FX2...
My favorite table is the one where my high score is higher than yours. My least favorite is the one where your high score is higher than mine! :)
Okay, fine, that's not a real answer. I don't know if I can pick a single favorite, though. I love Super League Football, Thor, The Avengers, Star Wars Episode VI, Epic Quest, Excalibur, Spider Man... EDIT: I forgot about Walking Dead, Pasha, Eldorado, and Boba Fett -- really like all of those.
Definitely hoping to get the Bethesda tables in the next Steam sale. I have Skyrim for my tablet and it's really fun to play, and I'd like to check out Doom and Fallout as well.
I use my Xbox 360 controller.
I would echo EndlessHorizon -- if anyone wants more "Pinball FX2 friends" on Steam, feel free to add me!

LMAO! I think I'm leading on 4 or 5 of them vs you.
You know which table is hard... the western. That's a straight up evil table.
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm pretty sure that I've been knocking myself out trying to reach your scores.
Comment has been collapsed.
I'll have to admit that I play it a bit when I have free time. I have all the tables except the Bethesda set. I don't think it's gone on sale yet.... and I don't buy them at full price.
I did find it interesting that they are doing them in VR now too...

We need another Humble Bundle to pad out our table libraries.

I asked them on twitter not too long ago but they didn't give me an answer really.

Someday. Though I'd also be cool with them making the tables available cross-platform. It would be nice to play the tables I own on steam on some of my other devices.
Comment has been collapsed.
Not gonna happen. They are transferable in the same family of systems, but no point in dreaming you'll be able to transfer across different families.
It would make an uproar in the community among all the people who purchased the tables multiple times on different systems.

Pinball4Lyfe.
Difficult to pick out an absolute favorite, though I'd probably go with Deadpool for the content if nothing else. Past that I also really enjoy the Portal, Walking Dead, Iron Man, and Ms. Splosion Man tables.
I play with a gamepad 'cause using the triggers is closer to the analog experience.
Comment has been collapsed.
I need to get Deadpool and TWD.. both look really good.
Comment has been collapsed.
Deadpool is a very fast, high energy table, kicking the ball every which-a-way but especially down toward you. But even if the ramped up difficulty isn't your thing, the sheer amount of Deadpool-style humor makes it worth pushing through the curve.
The Walking Dead is more sedate but still challenging, has a great atmosphere straight out of the games, and the missions are really well set up.

It's strangely super attractive to me, I love the sound samples - could listen all day on repeat)) but also the geometry feels far more comfortable then all the others I tried (not so many thou).. with that said Ive barely touched real pinball machines couple of times!

Finally my kind of discussion. :)
Which table is my favorite? That's a hard question...
I love them all! :)
For a very long time my absolute favorite was South Park Table (especially Butter's Table).
But since I got my hands on Bethesda tables...I would say Skyrim and Doom. :)
Comment has been collapsed.
In case anyone is interested, all Star Wars tables are half off this weekend, including Rogue One.
I like the Captain America table.
Feel free to add me on Steam if you want to compare scores. I'm fair to middlin' on most of the leaderboards.
Comment has been collapsed.
I play it almost every day usually just a game or so, My Favorites are Super League Football, South Park, Ms Splosion Man and Sorcerer's Lair. (oh yea and Ghost Rider)
I'm missing most of the newer sets and a few of the old ones (Don't have Bethesda, Fury, Women, AVP, or the one with the Tesla table)
I really kind of hate both Civil War and Deadpool though.
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm not particularly fond of Civil War either. I kind of expected more from both that and Guardians of the Galaxy.
(& added!)
Comment has been collapsed.
The Civil War table feels like the ball is really heavy and weighted. I do like the table the ball just took some getting use to for me.

Great to see some PFX2 love. Personally I like playing through them all until I get a decent score then move on to another one. I own about half of them and still haven't got to all the tables I own yet. Would love some high scores to tackle if anyone wants to add me.
Comment has been collapsed.
I love that table, and played it pretty much nonstop for a couple of weeks. That was just a really good run. My previous was like 95M I think, so I was trying and trying and trying to get to 100M...and all of a sudden I was over 240M!
My pinball experiences tend to be like that. I will have one amazing run and get a crazy high score, and then never come within a mile of it again!

Unfortunately I only have the Mars-table and the standard one (missed the humble bundle). I prefer the standard one at the moment :)
Comment has been collapsed.
I guess you're talking about the Mars Table, right? Yeah, it's not a bad table. I like it ^^ But it's one of the more relaxing tables without many special features. Not that this is bad! Not all the tables have to have all those special features. I also like to play simple ones (or for example, I also play the old DOS pinball games you can get on GOG). But right now I prefer the standard one, if I have to choose between those two tables :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Not sure if you saw or not Kiwi but someone at the bottom of the thread has some Star Wars tables they are offering. Since you only own 2 tables that might be something you would like :) There's some good tables in that pack.

Haven't seen this. Thank you very much for the heads up! Appreciate it :)

Fx2 Love <3 That's a lot of hours!
I don't have those 2 tables but I listed the ones I do own above in the OP. If you own any of them feel free to add me.

Oh wow, you beat my Wild West Score.. awesome job. LOL that's going to be a real pain for me to try and top, hardest table I have.
Comment has been collapsed.
I hate this on some tables: sometimes I get to learn the table, the modes etc... And my score keeps getting better. But on some tables - Wild West is one of those - I get a decent score in the first game (beginner's luck or whatever) and then I play and try to beat it and I can't. I learned many features of the table, I know how to turn on the multiplayer and some modes, but I can't beat my first score, where I was just randomly hitting stuff! :[
Comment has been collapsed.
That happened to me on one of the Star Wars tables. You will beat your score eventually though. Good luck :)

Pinball Fx 2 made me love the genre xD though i dont really have any specific table yet

While we're on the subject, anybody play Pinball Arcade? First season has some great tables.
Comment has been collapsed.
I tried the demo. It's cool, but I'd take PFX over it any day. With real tables they're limited to things actual manufacturers can actually do in RL. Zen Studios on the other hand, can do anything they can imagine. I do plan to get PA some day...but I think I'm gonna need at least 75% off 0:D
I'd say it's best to play real pinball tables in RL and play fictive ones on PC...though it would be amazing if they could actually create any Zen Studios table in RL. This Zen machine would deffinitely be something I'd love to have :D https://blog.zenstudios.com/?p=6729

I may be biased since I actually own the Williams Star Trek Next Generation machine.
While I applaud the use of animated figures in the PBFX2 games, they could go even further and have pop-up overlays to focus on the necessary targets. The table lights can get confusing and the DMD is practically useless. One of the things that made the 3D Ultra pinball series so popular was that there was no ambiguity - aim for the big, animated bullseye!
One thing I admire about the classic pins (that's still hit or miss with the Zen product) is that the game rules seemed to have a natural flow from one event to the next. When designing the games, they'd build a prototype on a white piece of plywood and make sure it was fun even before all of the graphics and effects went in. If it's fun to play when it's just a white board, it'll be great when all the bells and whistles are added.
Of course, that's just me. 😉
Comment has been collapsed.
I agree, DMD's is PFX can be quite bad. They are trying way too hard to get the old look of it. Rogue One for example is just terrible.
I often wish, after a mission starts, there would be a delay, so you have time to read what you must do on DMD. But on many tables, the text shows when mayhem is already on its way.
One thing these 3D pinballs also have a problem with, cameras. None is really good. I always go for the 2 that move up and down. On some table I prefer the closer on some the farther one (3 and 6 usually), while I don't like the very far ones. But none is perfect. Old 2D pinballs, with tables that had up/down motion, deffinitely are ahead in this department, though it was much easier.
Zen starts with their tables in the same manner. First the board, then pins and rails,... But I understand what you mean.
Comment has been collapsed.
The DMD is another area where they fail to get the hang of using cyberspace. Instructions on an overlay that can linger a little bit longer would be a great improvement. I tried communicating this to them, but evidently advice from a former Sierra designer is beneath their notice.

This is where it is neat to have a monitor that can rotate 90 degrees, since the game supports this and that's the kind of space that pinball tables use (vertical rather than horizontal).

I love Pinball FX2! I have a bunch of tables and it depends on my mood as to what tables I get into. I just recently added some tables to my wishlist. I find it interesting that they all have a different "feel" to them i.e. how fast the ball moves, how hard to launch for skill shots, etc. I use the keyboard by preference. It's great to see that other people appreciate this game - they've done a great job on the various tables.

Hi there!
I have one copy of [GONE]
to gift.
Anyone interested?

I have all the tables. Thanks for the offer though. Hopefully it goes to someone who will play them and not just collect them, the tables are a lot of fun.

What he said. I already have it. If I didn't, I'd definitely would participate.

I'm interrested! :)
Unfortunately I only own the Mars Table (and the standard one of course). Would really love to have some more!
Don't know, maybe I can give you something in exchange. I have some spare keys, but I have seen that you have already a lot of games in your library, so I guess it won't be easy to find something you like, what you do not already own xD But we can try ^^

Just wanted to say thank you again! Very kind of you, to gift me the game-pack. Really appreciate it! :)

Sent friend requests to all. Started playing Zen Pinball 2 on PS3 but now have more (all) tables on Steam thanks to Humble Bundles, sales and being able to buy tables with cards profitz™. Favourite table would prolly be one of Boba Fett, Aliens or Skyrim but I only really play for trophies (rather than high scores) and then move on to the next table once I get them. Least favourite table by far is Venom. It's very different (in a bad way) and I find it really hard to get the ball into the upper playfield. Favourite theme tune is Fear Itself.

I see you extended the OP. The table I like most (not featured on Steam) is the skating championship Extreme table.
If I could say I don't like a table, I think this one would be it. Most of the action happens in a very small area around the flippers. Nad not much happens. You start with a practice run, doing skate tricks, then you progress to regional, state and world champs, each requiring more tricks. Haven't completed the world's yet.
I mean, the first first Pinball FX1 tables can't compare with activities with the latter ones or with PFX2/ZP2, but this one just lacks. It's like EPIC Pinball's Magic table, which is just plain boring. All the other tables were in comparison like PFX1.5. The other 2 basics Speed Machine and Agents, no gems comapred to current tables, but there was plenty going on. Even more in DLC's for PFX, Bucaneer, Nightmare Mansion, Rocky and Bulwinkel, Street Fighter II and the only two that made it to Steam, Earth Defense and Excalibur. I hope they bring them over some day, because they are nice tables.
Just looking through the list. There are 2 Zen Pinball tables that did not make it to Steam, Street Fighter II Turbo and Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma.
8 tables missing in total.
I counted the list on that link, 78 tables in total :O
So trying to remember which ones have been hard... :D
i can deffinitely count extreme, so much work (buttons to hit) before you are allowed to compete (each time). So easy to loose the ball. And getting those tricks in time limit...
Excalibur can be tought to go through the story, hard to shoot a lot of stuff. Was easier in PFX.
Whole PFX2Core pack takes a lot of work to make progress.
Plants vs. Zombies is not tough, but it can be tough to get to the point to really start playing. If you have it, I'm sure you know what I mean.
Zen Classics another tough bunch. Though El Dorado is the easiest of them. Not that problematic to make progress. Others can take a while.
Several Marvel tables, not hard, but can easily repeat same mission over and over without success. Few awkward positions hard to hit.
Not sure about SW tables. Not sure if any are real hard. Well, Vader can spin you in circles.
Easiest tables? Not necessary for general public, but I make nice scores regularly. And wouldn't really call them easy, but if you know what you are doing, you probably have more chance of great scores.
Mars, Sorcerer's Lair, Epic Quest, Ms. Splosion Man, Plants vs. Zombies (if I get over the initial hurdles), Super League Football, Spider-Man, Fantastic Four.
Surely some others, but I guess I haven't played them enough to remember.
Comment has been collapsed.
It's not really "one game". Although the tables are DLC they are each their own game as each table is different. Yeah lots of the tables have been in bundles. As Shadowen mention you can play the Sorcerer's Lair table for free.
