Why so many Hotline Miami giveaways?

It was cheap/free for a bit.

It was $5 on Amazon so anyone who had a $5 coupon effectively could have gotten the game for free I think

cuz anyone who bought a game from amazon in nov/december got a 5$ coupon for january on a Editor's choice game. Hotline miami was down to $5 for a few hours so you can do the math. Same reason they got rid of the bioshock bundle for $5
