Every single summer i have to trim this jungle. And every single time it grows right back.
My friend, I completely agree and have one word for you: Astroturf
;-)
EDIT: But in all honesty, I hate the heat way more than yard work. Wish I could set the thermo for the great outdoors to be on a comfortable 68°F / 20°C year round.

The worst part is when Summer is completely washed out by rain and by the time the sun starts to come out for more than a few days, summer is almost over. It happens more often that not here in the UK. Our spring has better weather than summer. In June and the start of July, it rained for 27 days out of 39.

Normally I'd just say 'heat' since that is awful, but this year we've had a pretty cold summer to a point where I am currently snuggled under a blanket with wool socks on! So instead I'll name INSECTS as the true part I hate.

I love summer but I hate mosquitos and other blood sucking bugs. Do you trim garden for yourself or others? Could you trim it less? Maybe trim part of it and let rest be a jungle? I have seen pretty natural gardens that doesn't have to be trimmed so much.

Heat for sure. You can always put more layers on if you're too cold. You can't take off your skin if you're too hot.

That is one reason why I hate winter though. All those extra layers of clothing is uncomfortable for me.

That since I have rather white skin, I get sunburns reeeally easily. Also that no matter how few times I actually go out of my house (because I happen to have problems with my back and legs), some mosquitoes somehow STILL find the way inside and they just love me. The same goes for all the lovely creepy-crawly bugs around here, who seem to think of me as their best friend and companion for life.

Summer near me is a dick. Thats what I hate about it.
One day you have +30 and everything is burning up. the same evening it's something below +10 degrees. And with the temperature difference it feels almost like winter. I went cycling this weekend and lived on campground in a tent. I had my winters jacket with me for the evening, but shorts and t-shirt for the day.
