So I made a giveaway which ended a day ago. And the winner didn't activate the key yet, even though I pressed the send key button shortly after it ended. Now I understand if the winner wasn't online on SG and thus wasn't able to see the key yet, but the thing is that he's constantly online in SG. I've checked his profile several time the past 30 hours and he's constantly online. Also on Steam he's either online or in-game.

So earlier today I send him a friendrequest to ask if he had troubles with the key I've given him, but a few hours later I notice the request is gone and he's not in my friendlist. So I tried sending another request, only to be greeted by an error. I checked Steam FAQ and the most likely reason I'm getting the error is because he might've blocked me...

So, what should I do now? Request another winner? What if he uses the key while I requested a new winner?

Wait a week from giveaway ending, they have that long to activate the key.

Gather proof that you 1. sent the key through the system, 2. tried adding them on steam and/or writing a comment on their profile to remind them they won and 3. send them an email to the address they left in the system to tell them they won and can find the key in the system (screenshots work for all 3).

If the key is not "seen" after 7 days, reset the sent status, and ask for another winner with the proofs you've gathered that the previous winner refused to acknowledge all of your attempts you were reasonably expected to make in order to contact them.

nice step by step explanation .. usually i try to redirect users to the help page on this website, and offer them a chance to also read the full rule page.
