A way to message other users directly through SG

There should be a way to directly message somebody on SG, without having to go to their Steam profiles and requesting to be friends with them in order to message them something.

I have a bunch of giveaways where I need to contact the user to tell them that their key has been sent so they can set it as received.

has already been suggested (a few times)

but so far cg didn't comment on this sugestion.

In the mean time you can use old giveaways of your winners to contact them, as suggested here - however there are 2 requirements:
1) the winner actually has made a giveaway in the past
2) you are not blacklisted by the winner

Friendly advice, set a Contributor Level bar on your GAs.

That way you know the winner at least knows how the site works.

I usually look for some old giveaway they made and drop a comment there. It's not for everyone though.

Yes, this is a method too. If we are talking about me forgetting something, I have no problem with commenting on my GAs. But if you are talking to me about a totally different thing, or about real life thing, or about me joining or not joining some group, I prefer to be contacted to my Steam profile, or if still related to GAs that I created, comment on that one, instead of somewhere else.
