Ref if a digit. Which is used on the interwebs, (especially Steam) as a value of the size of your virtual penis.
For example, if i have 300 ref, and a tf2 unusual costs that much, the sellers virtual penis grows, and mine decreases, but i get the unusual.

Ref = refined = tf2 metal.

It takes 9 scrap to make 1 ref, and 3 rec to make 1 ref.

Tf2 metal can be obtained via random drops from playing Tf2 if you bought something from the Mann Co. store in game.

Edit: The metal doesn't drop, but weapons do. 2 weapons equal a scrap.

It is short for Refined Metal, used in Team Fortress 2 for Crafting. 3 Scrap Metal makes 1 Reclaimed Metal, 3 Reclaimed Metal makes 1 Refined Metal, at least if I remember correctly.

Is a trade unit. 6ref(not sure) worth 1 TF2, that worth this
