Booster pack question

I know there's another running thread, but it's mainly trash talk.

I read the FAQ and the update many times but i still don't understand.

First they said, these will be dropped by playing the games once all cards were dropped. Now it says that they're dropped as community craft more badge.

So how do we earn these boosters ? Playing games, or totally random once per week ?

  • Drop all your cards
  • Play whatever game you want (not necessarily [is that even a word?] the game you want the booster for)
  • If you are eligible you may get a booster
  • Every time someone craft a badge another random (eligible) person receives a booster pack

That is how I understand these rules, I may be wrong

AFAIK, you don't need to play anything, the only requirements are to have dropped all cards (for certain game), and log in to Steam at least once a week, that's it.

More badges crafted = more booster pack drops. (This counts for the whole community and not just you)

Does having more games you are eligible to get a booster for increase your chances of getting one?

A higher level increases your drop rate for booster packs.

I am wondering about one thing - for the games that I did get all the card drops but sold them all and those games aren't anymore in my badges section - am I eligible for booster packs drops?

check your badges page, it says if you are eligible for booster packs or not (click the How do I earn card drops? link)

yes if you own the game and have all your drops you can get boosters for said game, i traded away my strike suit cards and still got a strike suit booster pack
