Hello guys!

Seeing Fallout:NV for only €2,49 makes me want to buy it, but I never played Fallout games before, and this is not exactly my genre.

My question is, should I play other Fallout games before New Vegas to understand what's going on, or is New Vegas a game for itself (seeing how it isn't DLC for Fallout 3, neither it is Fallout 4, it makes me think it's an unrelated story to the original games).

Are RPG mechanics in this game confusing? I never play RPG games, I ususally play FPS, TPS and racing games.

All of them are separated stories. Well the second has heavy references toward the first.

The rpg mechanics are very simple, you get experience and level up and a menu pop up where you pick an ability/perk

New vegas has references too, yet you don't have to play the first 2 fallout to enjoy it. :D (I didn't like new vegas lol lame story, repetitive quest, a shitload of bugs, crashes, etc)

You don't need to play the other games. However, you should get the version with the DLCs if at all possible.

Its RPG mechanics are really easy to understand, the story in itself is... let's say it's more about the general ambience than the story. You can climb aboard this one and later, if you feel like it, try the other Fallout games. The most interesting thing in Fallout is the whole Vault-Tec and Vaults lore, which you'll grasp little by little and by reading a bit on the internet... It can also feel very good to start immersing yourself in that world when you don't know anything about it.

So, at this price, go for it.

It's connected to Fallout 1 and 2, but there should be enough in game back story to cover the setting.

The RPG elements are simplistic. It's more like an FPS with RPG elements, though the RPG elements are a bit better than that of Fallout 3.

Yes, you absolutely have to play all previous games starting with Wasteland.

This game, or fallout 3, oblivion or skyrim are fantastic games for people who dont play rpg games very often like me. I mostly play fps games such as counter strike and far cry 3. To keep a long story short. I,m not a guy who plays a lot of rpg games but I fell in love with fallout 3 and just bought new vegas for pc. Buy this game, you won,t regret it!
