So a random trader was offering me keys to this game: http://store.steampowered.com/app/741460/Blackscreen_Simulator/
Interesting thing is it seems to have only been sold on steam, which means the trader was either the dev or a friend, at the time, the game was worth only $2.99. Then this announcement came out: https://steamcommunity.com/games/741460/announcements/detail/1586823910663920354
and the price jumped up to $60 (which makes less sense since the announcement said $65, but oh well). Is there a list of games that don't count towards the steam account value because I think this game might belong on this list...

I agree with your opinion, but I'm not sure if SG would make such a decision. There's actually no reason, or proof that leads us to believe that there's any foul play involved with Steamgifts. Games go up and down in price, and there's nothing SG will do regarding this matter in most case. Now if the so called "devs" would openly admit to either using their "game" to trick the system into letting their accounts register on SG or, using the "game" to allow other users to "illegally" join SG... it would be another story.

I guess that the best thing to do is create a ticket under "Other" and see what the mods think. I believe the final decision lies within cg's hands, though, as it is a particular case.

Christ. Valve really is the worse at filtering trash. Doesn't anyone even verify submissions at all...

But how would you want to figure out if someone developed a game or if they stole it, unless it's about a game anyone knows? The only way is that someone makes an appeal about ownership.

The sad thing is that this will actually make 'collectors' buy it now even at that ridiculous price.

Are games on bundle list count towards value?

Because 2,99/59,99=4.98%

Edit: already there, even as free game due to free giveaway.

It was free-list-added back in December (due to 4000 keys being given away), I don't imagine it's an issue.

And yeah, the ArcaneRaise/BunchOD00dz studio seems deadset on becoming the next Digital Homicide, but with the substitution of absurd routines like this one in place of DH's indignant hostility.

Well at least it means it can't be used to boost account values

Many "devs" did this
For example, today Lords of War, price up from $4,99 to $99.99.

Maybe u remember when "Dexodonex" dev encreased price and sell keys for steamgifts CV-boost
https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/OYXzX/dexodonex

Or shady "Viewpoints" dev did the same
https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/lDnTO/viewpoints-goldplatinum-edition

Fresh example

Soon on sg in archive section 😥

is that "d" supposed to be a "s"?
Also, from all of those discussions, I guess this game got fixed cause it's value was zeroed due to a giveaway

Publisher is the one behind the arcane raise games, putting dozens of dlc and ingame items for sale, go figure.

Scum, all of them.

I don't think people buy them often, the devs just usually give keys out
