With round 1 of the NFL draft complete and 6 rounds to go over the next few days, I thought I'd find out if any NFL fans frequent the forums.

What's your favorite team? Let's discuss how well they drafted!

EDIT: What do you guys think of the loud, prolonged booing that Commissioner Goodell receives every single time he steps foot on the stage? Is it me or is it more pronounced than previous years? Is it just because of the different venue's acoustics or has he managed to become even more unpopular with the fanbase?

Steelers fan here. I would have prefered they draft a CB yesterday, but LB is ok too. Seeing as Waynes and Johnson were gone before the Steelers were on the clock, I guess they don't like Byron Jones and Marcus Peters wouldn't have been a good fit.

Falcons fan here. WE GOT BEASLEY WITHOUT TRADING UP!

Not a huge fan of our round 2 pick in CB Collins as he only started 10 games before being drafted. Hopefully he pans out though. QUINNING!

you just have to hope that those 10 starts were because of the CBs in front of him, I mean they had some good ones down there.

I thought their first-round was clever. Traded down, still got the player they wanted, and picked up two free picks. Hopefully, SF can get more out of Armstead than Oregon was able to.

Yes, picking up the 4th rounder is the only consolation. They already have a DE project in Okoye. Just cause Tomsula is a D-line coach, doesn't mean that he can work magic on somebody so raw. For a mid-first rounder, I want somebody who is ready to start Day 1.

Yeah, I've never been crazy about picking up a project in the first round. I suppose it really just comes to whether you have any glaring needs and how high the ceiling is for the project. Physically, Armstead could be a phenomenal talent; he just never really seemed to develop. Honestly, I think he's just one of those football players that doesn't really like football.

You've basically described why I opened with, "WTF?" ;-)

It could end up being an amazing pick. Perhaps he just didn't like having to do school and football. Maybe focusing solely on football will be the thing to help him bloom. Or mayhaps he just wants to do a couple years in the NFL, cash the checks, and then leave.

Well, just hope for the best as always. Thanks for the football talk.

No worries. :) I hardly watch the NFL, but I'm a huge college football fan and so I always find the Draft interesting.

Do I dare admit I'm a Browns fan? Our kind is a hopeful species only to be crushed year in and year out. Please do not mock because we cannot help where our allegiance lies. So just take comfort that you are not one of us.
That being said, can I interest the team you root for in taking one Johnny Football off our hands? He is named after the very game so you know he can play!

Lol I'm right there with you as a lifelong Redskins fan. I must say I'm happy with the first 2 rounds so far.

Can't believe the Redskins didn't trade down in Round 1. Surely someone was willing to trade up for Leonard Williams, and I'm reasonably sure the Redskins could have gotten Scherff a few picks down.

Nice trade for picks with Seattle. Signals that the new GM really is in charge?

You must be fairly young. The first half of my life, the Redskins were a top franchise winning Super Bowls.
But yes...that was a long time ago. ;-)

If Al Davis was still alive, you could convince him to take him. He valued speed over everything. Good luck getting anyone living to take on Manziel's contract, though. Might as well set fire to a pile of money and save the roster spot.

Browns lost their chance last year to trade him to the Cowboys. The only person who wanted Manziel as much as the Browns owner was Jerry Jones. But you're right, Al Davis also may have spared the Browns from themselves by taking him in the draft before the Browns had a chance to trade up for him.

I was born and raised in Wisconsin and as such am almost required by law to cheer on the Packers. So.far the Packers picks have suprized me. They took a safety in there first round again this year. I'm guessing he is going to be re-traind as a back or a corner, but it still seems an odd choice.

Perhaps Bears fans are just better boo'ers than Jets fans. Jets fans get a lot of practice, but they need to save it for the regular season.

KC Fan here, I'll let you know after preseason how I feel...still upset that we let Bowe go and seem to not be focusing on offense atm.
