You should checkout war thunder, it's free.

Aircraft games is pretty general.

DCS world has the best aircraft physics around ( the base is free but you only got a ground attack plane, check out the modules/add-ons ).
And in a different style you might want to have a look at command air naval operations which has the best modelling around for the modern technicalities. In a different style still, war in the pacific admiral edition makes a major use of aircrafts of all sorts, with all the units, pilots, indvidual xp etc, there is also a mod that adds the units insignias.

I would recommend to buy hawx 2 just because it's made in Romania, but it's up to you if you want to buy a game or play almost the same game for free like War Thunder or World of WarPlanes (when it's available).
