Why did my level not increase?

I gave away a copy of Fury Unleashed, which I imagine has a value of more than a penny. (How do I check this?) Maybe I'm dumb but after reading the FAQ I couldn't find any reason why I didn't level up.

That's because the game was free at some point. You can check this when you create a giveaway: two asterisks mean that you won't get any CV because the game was or is free, one - you'll get 15% CV because the game was bundled, no asterisks - full CV for an unbundled game. And it might make sense to re-read FAQ, it's all there.

Edit: BTW, you won't get anything for Broken Age as well for the same reason.

Ah ok. I guess there's no way to to check that on this site after the giveaway was created which is what confused me.

If you go to your profile and hover the mouse cover in the appropriate spot (over the number of games given), it'll show the breakdown

there's a useful tool that can calculate giveaway value here https://www.sgtools.info/real-cv

when you create giveaways, choosing the game name, look for the * and ** which will hover over tell you no value or reduced value.

go to create a new GA.
put the name of the game.
if its shows 2 asterisk its becouse it was free at some point
it its shows 1 asterick its becouse it was bundled at some point

It was given away for free on steelseries dot com a couple years ago. Even if you paid for yours, they have no way or knowing whether or not you got it for free, so all are considered free form that point onward, unfortunately.
