So, I had this giveaway of mine, ended a few hours ago(Steam gift-copy). And which I friend requested the user going through SteamGifts->Visit Steam Profile, and it stood there for probably like an hour at most, in the invitations sent tab, but then disappeared, and it wasn't on the list too.
So I tried to send it again but I had the bummer, it appears the winner has blocked me, so I'm unable to send for any friend requests now. So I mailed the winner this time, to inform that I'm on wait to deliver his gift and for him to accept me. Meanwhile I've checked through the FAQ again to see what exactly is needed in this situation. So as it states:
The winner has not redeemed my gift, and I'm unable to get into contact with them. How do I proceed?
If you've been unable to reach the winner of your giveaway using e-mail and Steam after seven days of your giveaway ending, and they have not yet activated or redeemed any keys or gifts you attempted to send, please contact support to request a new winner. When creating a ticket, we ask you to include data that suggests you made an adequate attempt to contact the winner, such as screenshots of e-mails, friend requests, or gifts pending on Steam. If the request is approved, a new winner will be generated by the site.
Here're my questions:
No.1: I will not attempt to send the user his gift via e-mail because then, what happens if the user didn't receive it in 7 days, but tried it when the procedure for picking a new winner was on going? Either this is a flaw in the FAQ or I get something wrong here.
No.2: About the proof collection, I didn't think of this to happen (I guess gave into being a newbie still), and did not screenshot on my first attempt where I could successfully send him a request, and it would show on the Friends window. Now it disappeared on Friends, and the only proof I can provide is, one, the e-mail notice I've sent after I've noticed this event, two, not being able to add him to friends. Error itself still suggests by Steam that this happens when a user blocks another one.
Waiting on your ninj-- veteran replies. Thank you! ^^
