The publisher is gaming the system, placing large payments to hike the average.
You could say it's in response to the 1 cent cheapskates dragging it down, but that's how it's always been and if they didn't want to play they shouldn't have entered the humble bundle to begin with.

Meh, money is going to charity, and we are still getting the games WELL below retail. I don't see the problem myself. Infact I give them props for creativity, and props again for donating to Charity in a way that ISN'T a tax writeoff lol

The 1 cent purchases'll potentially do more in the long run, and all the dev is doing is creating a baseline BTA for people to work with (well, once it drops to 4-6$ :P)
People'll pay what they're comfortable with, so in the end, it's not like they're forcing anything on us.

I would hve thought about the BTA if it would have dropped to around $2. As it currently looks I might bite for tier 1, as Darkness Within and Gas Guzzlers Extreme look like games I might play.

Oh, that'd certainly be nice.
But at $3 I can justify it, since that'd be $1+ cheaper than cost of the Guzzler DLCs at their 80% off sale price (roughly $2.20). With extra games for giveaway, that'd be justifiable, even with my way-too-tight current finances :)

Gas Guzzlers Extreme was on my wishlist, so definitely tier 1. Gonna wait to see if Tier 2 drops massively (which I would expect) to see if I can bag the DLC at a low price.

Yes it's got a Single Player Campaign and a Challenge Mode. The Multiplayer is bugged and will crash if someone so much as brings a custom skin in.

Yes it does have SP campaign play but there are issues and it's still being worked on and patched.
Some people say that ACE and HAWX are (much) better than this.
Maybe it's safer to look up reviews and discussions on Steam. :-)

For about $6 bucks and if you've got a gamepad it's honestly a steal. Regular price for this game though? Oh hell no, it's a buggy mess. Still not bad for a one man job though.

O...M...G!!!!!!! You have no idea how long I have been waiting for the Darkness Within games to get bundled!!!! Freaking GMG kept teasing me with $0.99 sales on the first one, but it wasn't a Steam key!!! It wasn't even a straight DRM-free download, you had to use their download client to get and play it.
