And that's true. But it must be so, since all new games in the series got action mostly, not the horror part. And also being so pumped up with adrenaline after fighting all those hordes makes you more resistant to scary moments. I personally love both new and old REs, but they have so much differences, they shouldn't really be compared.

Disagreed. Either MGS2, quirks and all, or MGS Twin Snakes would be my choice. The story was the best in 3, I grant you, but for whatever reason the actual gameplay changes didn't click with me.

MGS2 is my least favorite. Not sure why.
