I have major lag when playing games connected to the steam servers while being online in steam community, if i turn it offline i get no lag. The "friends" interface in my case is the problem, i used an alternative account i have with less than 30 friends and groups, i get no lag while playing with steam community online on that account, while this one i use as my main (which has 200+ friends and 300+ groups all the time) gets massive lag issues when online... So that's likely to be the problem (too many things to list under friends and groups).
Sometimes my steam goes not responding or freezes on me, annoying stuff.

Hello everyone, I was wondering is anyone else have a HUGE steam client lag/no response? Me and my friends have been having this problems for more than a month now. We can use the friends list and play games, but trying to open the store, profile page etc. is IMPOSSIBLE. We have tried via the client and the website both are having the same problem. (Hence me not being able to even access the steam forums and asking this)
Does anyone what might be the problem, I thought it was that some of us were using the beta client, but not even the webpage is working.
Is this a problem with a region, and/or is anyone else having said problem? :| Would really like to be able to at least accept the game gifts that I won.
