Last I heard, only items bought from the market are supposed to get the week cooldown..

if the crafting contain a buyed cromo is that way and yes are drunk.

If one of the cards you used to craft the badge had a week cooldown, you will be able to market and trade the emoticons and wallpapers (and whaterever else you get) only at the end of the same cooldown of the card.

They're not idiots, there's a reason for this. I'm not personally sure what it is, but all of the restrictions that Valve sets are in place for a reason. Most common reason is scammers and abusers of the trading system and I'm not sure exactly which kind of scam do they prevent with this system, but again, it's there because some people managed to abuse it.

It was implemented at the end of last year, after everybody exploited a massive loophole in the gem crafting system. Which, naturally, was implemented by Valve without actually thinking through how it should work and what the implications may be. You know, like the paid mods thing, only this one eventually stabilised itself.

The stupidity is that it applies for sale cards as well..
As a programmer, I would expect some genius would have thought about this..
