I actually baked this for Valentine's day. It was a double layer chocolate cake with almond flavoured white icing in between. Fecking fondant, never again. Anyway, the green/black swirly bits are supposed to be tentacles of swirling Cthulhu darkness. As anything Cthulhu, they were never meant to be pretty.
