I can't accept an invite because apparently I've hit my friend limit. But I haven't!

So, according to Steam I can't accept an invite because I've reached my friend limit, which for me is 305. After deleting more than 50 people, and bringing the number down to about 240, I'm still getting this. What's going on and how can I fix this?

Get levels? D= Not sure how mutch is the friends limit right now, but I know that time from time when you "Level up" on steam you get a message about getting more friend list slots.

The problem is that I've deleted friends so technically I should be able to add more, but I can't.

Who reaches the limit? I have around 50 and most of them are just from trades.

Did you had this many friends (305) before levels, trading card etc was introduced?

Nope, but I haven't gone up in level recently, this only happened today.

friends limit cap ?, unacceptable,the whole world is your friend as long as you open your arm ..... friendship is magic you know
