If a game is removed from the store, it does not necessarily mean you will lose the Workshop mods you are subscribed to. Your subscriptions are tied to your Steam account, so if you uninstall and reinstall the game later, the mods can usually be downloaded automatically again.
However, this depends on the Workshop items remaining available. If a mod is removed, made private, or if the game's Workshop is shut down, Steam may no longer be able to download it, even if you still appear as subscribed.
To be safe, if the game has been removed from the store, I would recommend backing up the mods while they are still available.
I hope I've helped you in some way, Chris.

Thanks a lot! You have helped me very good.
The game is still there, but gets removed soon. My plan was to subscribe to every mod I'm interested in and then play it when I have time.
So I hope, that the mods are still available at that point.

If I own a game with workshop functionality and it gets delisted, what happens to the workshop mods I have subscribed? Especially when I want to re-install the game later on.
