For me it's Shogun 2 Total War. I put it on high and it ran very smooth. How about you guys? What game ran well on your pc?

Having a crappy GPU, most games run like crap. But there are a few games that ran surprisingly fast...

Far Cry 3
Medal of Honor
Grid 2
Max Payne 3

Actually, I was astounded by how well Battlefield 4 ran on my crappy HD6770M, got a solid 40fps out of it :D

Skyrim until Patch 1.8 I had a bad PC and thought of fuck it won't run but I played it with 50-60 fps! Then came 1.8 out and the Game get slower.. (10-15fps)

Tropico 4 runs on highest settings even with a big city there's no slowdowns or lag.
Sleeping dogs runs very good with almost everything on highest settings.
State of decay looks and runs great too with everything at max.
Bioschock infinite and batman origins looks and runs great too.
My PC is pretty old and cheap, gtx660, i3 2100, so i'm very happy.

Before I was really into building my own computers, and having a fancy gaming rig I had pre-built. Which was okay because I didn't know first thing about building them, but they always lacked somewhere. The best computer I ever had came from a bogus place.. An Aldi's cheap food store! Why was it purchased in the first place? Well, it had the "best" of everything at a really odd low price compared to other places. Bought it, LOVED IT. Played every game I had previous played like butter.

So it was 2007 I believe.. Maybe 2008.. I bought the game Hellgate: London and was surprised it played on my PC. It was really fun, graphical and I was really impressed. I mean I expected it to play.. but my jaw dropped as how beautiful a game could play.

Now a days no game really stalls, unless it's programmed faulty.

My computer runs like a piece of shit, but yet Bioshock Infinite ran brilliantly even with most options set on high. That game must be well-optimized XD

Bioshock. I thought it would run pretty slow but even on highest settings it runs very well.

Dead Space, Thought I would maybe run it on low and get 20 fps maybe, but I can run it on High at a constant 35.

Crysis 2. Was expecting my GPU to commit seppuku. Runs surprisingly well (45-50fps) with most of the effects on high.

I have a very good setup, most games I can maxed or near it so, it doesn't really surprise me. ^_^

At the moment both Metro Redux ran a bit worse than the originals for me. I may ran it at the same settings before but Last Light original ran more stable and these games are mostly confined indoors. Get drops to around 30fps and it feels really sluggish. On the other hand Crysis 3 ran nearly maxed out and kept up there 50-60fps for me. Even BF4 ran great as well. So I'm actually quite surprised the Metro Redux versions doesn't perform as expected when on Very High, cause I don't think it look as great compare to CryEngine, Frostbite or even UE3/4 games.

I went from an awful low spec PC where I was lucky if a decade old game would run OK... to a mid/high end PC where everything I throw at it seems to run without a hitch. So I can't really name any games that had surprised me on either end of the spectrum.

They being said... I'll go with Just Cause 2, simply because the game runs flawlessly despite being one of the most awe-inspiring titles I've played to date, graphically. If only it's story/acting weren't complete garbage.

Battlefield 3 on my Core 2 Duo, 2GB DDR2 and HD 7750... I guess it's been optimized for GPU.

Also Titanfall ran pretty well when I played on the free weekend.

PayDay 2 also runs pretty ok.

My friend's PC can run Far Cry 3 well, but not XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
I thought that was a bit weird.
