One of the more annoying things I've encountered on this site. I usually don't let things bother me too much but using a bot/script to enter and leave pointless comments because some people want's a personal interaction rubs me the wrong way.

I apologize for bothering you, but may I ask why you have blacklisted me?

If I had a steady source of income, I'd give it a try, but I need to keep buying food and stuff.

15 euros for present and then 50 for shipping. Nah.

shipping is the biggest problem here. if you "randomly" match people at least from same continent, that would at least be a bit better but a lot of countries have really big shipping costs, especially if sent from US, for example. i've given up on a lot of things i would gladly buy for myself just because shipping is high and sometimes (read: most of the time) even excedes price of shipped item

I'd be interested, but on the condition that my gifter properly fills out the customs form (I'm not going to the customs office to pick it up, takes 2 hours to get there + forever to wait + 2 hours back). Also, are leftovers from lootcrate etc. okay as well? I have tons of cool stuff from franchises I have no interest in (of course only if the person I'm gifting to appears to be a fan of one or more of those franchises). I'd make sure to get something special as well, not just leftovers ;)

Yeah, "leftovers" may not be the right word - I just sometimes got whole crates with almost nothing I was interested in, so except for putting it in other boxes, the stuff's never been touched (it's older stuff though, after several crates with nothing for me I unsubscribed, over a year ago)

I was thinking of making an exact thread like this, but with digital games not real ones.
I love events like this but I think its much to costly to ship (since most people don't live in the same country). Also what if only one side follows through and people are left giftless?
I'm trying to ship a game to a friend of mine in the UK and I'm already looking at 80 dollar shipping.

liked idea at first but then researched posting costs for my country and cheapest posting to even european country would be 15-20EUR alone -.- and if it was something heavier than T-shirt / plushie, so idk, album, figurine etc shipping suddenly jumps to 30-60EUR, not to mention crazy shipping costs to US or other continents, so I guess I'm gonna skip ;p
(and sadly amazon is not a solution, as they don't accept PayPal and I don't have CC ;p)

you can confirm PP in two ways, either using CC or doing a bank transfer - you send 2 separate bank transfers worth like 1 cent from bank account with the same name as PP account. I have a bank account ;p I just don't have actual CC (credit card, not to misjudge with bank card), actually in Poland it's not so easy to get CC, banks refuse a lot, because you earn to little, or have bad kind of employment (as you are contractor not employee), or are not married etc).

If you use ThinkGeek, don't use UPS - I ordered from there once when that was the only option, and ended up paying about as much in extra fees (customs + UPS "handling customs for me (without asking)") as I had already paid for the items + postage (although this might be true for all of those sites - don't use UPS if you can avoid it)

So now you want to send printed Steam keys by post mail ?

What a lovely idea. I'm totally in. ;j
Hope I can do a proper gift, with a faint tinge of the place it comes from, and a quaint handwritten note inside to give it all a proper meaning for a few seconds... but on the off chance I can't, would it be a bit of an overkill to use one of those online thingies for the gift itself, and then also send a card or something via snail mail separately?
