Yeah, I pretty much do that on all of the polls...I like to just put crazy stuff in there that no one sees coming. Hopefully, it elicits an involuntary laugh, even if it's a somewhat shameful one. lol
And thanks...and I plan to drink a beer in my honor too in just a little bit. It'll go with my rosemary-oregano grilled chicken and bacon-sauteed spinach with strawberries. Nope, not kidding...that's what I'm cooking for dinner. I like food just about as much as video games. ๐ ๐๐ป

And that dinner sounds pretty awesome! Hope it was as tasty as it sounds.
I just had boring but quick leftovers - pulled pork, loaded mashed potatoes, and caesar salad, paired with a coconut porter. Too tired, irritated, and hungry to even want to make anything more complex than the salad, though the porter helped. Then I followed that up with a bourbon coffee imperial stout and a hoppy imperial stout while playing a game, and that definitely helped. :)

Nice! I had a Rosรจ brut IPA ("Daymaker" by Karbach) with dinner...seemed to pair well. And later on, I too went the porter route while I caught up on a couple of DVR'd episodes of NCIS. :D

I haven't tried the Brut IPAs yet. Only heard about them recently. How did you like it?

It was good...very refreshing. Certainly nice with the right meal, and this one seemed apropos. I think that, seasonally speaking, the style lends itself best to late Spring and Summer nights. I think this could be one of the next style booms for microbrews (about 3 years back, it was Saison, the past couple of years have seen a huge uptick in sours/Berliner Weiss, and recently cold press coffee brews seem to have taken off).

I'm surprised you didn't list NE IPAs, they've exploded in the past few years. My local store went from have 2-3 to having shelves full of them with dozens of different ones every month.

True, especially hazy ones (which I prefer, so that makes me happy :) ). But yeah, we could be seeing the next "it" flavor that everyone starts making. We'll probably know a lot more by this summer.

Yeah, I too prefer the hazy, less bitter New England IPAs. This one from NJ is particularly good: https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/41170/253805/ Only one store nearby carries it, and it was one of the first ones they got, and it foams up like crazy such that it's always difficult to pour, but it tastes really good and is so easy to drink that I could drink them all day long.
NE IPAs may be a fad, but they're my kind of fad. :)
I'll have to look for a brut IPA next time I'm in the store.

So, my 2nd Cake Day arrived and I didn't even realize that it was here. Huh. Well, it's as good of an excuse as any to create another meaningless-and-yet-I-somehow-get-a-huge-chuckle-out-of-it-every-time poll and create some celebratory GAs. Heck, it's been a while since I made any Jigidi GAs, so here are five pretty easy ones to celebrate the occasion:
