Sorry, I accidentally turned on the "user must own game to vote" flag.
Now I can't remove the restriction, please accept my apologies.

They should add an option to change some aspects of the polls:/

I got computer way too late to consider any of them as "classic" for me.

So I'd vote for Swkotor 1&2

baldurs gate had a better story but i enjoyed the customisation of Icewind dale at the start

Character customization is supposedly even greater in the enhanced edition of BG II.....they recently released a huge patch that added so many new quests and areas, as well as more options in character creation.

Baldur's Gate 2 - because of epic scope and Throne of Bhall expansion
BG1 comes second- i love the world and freedom of exploring Sword Coast
IWD is has weak story but good combat - however BG2 surpasses it in both

Incredible looking game! I would love to know if they will localize into English (Voices, text, etc...)?

Probably not, but some groups of fans have done/are doing some translation work for the game. Hopefully it will be available in English one day.

Divine Divinity, Fallout 1 & 2, Gothic I & II, Baldur's Gate I & II, Darklands, Anachronox, Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, TES III: Morrowind, Wizardry 6, 7 and 8, Deus Ex, Jagged Alliance 2, System Shock 2, Star wars KOTOR I and II... But that depends on the definition of "classic". My favourite? Maybe Fallout.

The subheading was "classic bioware rpg" and while a lot of those games are great and can be considered classic, not all are bioware:)

Nope, was "Classic role-playing". And the poll was about Bioware's. Read it again. ;-) Regards.

Out of the ones you listed, BG2 is my favorite although I haven't played the EE yet, just own the original on discs and gog.com. For a classic rpg I do own on steam, KOTOR 1 is a longtime favorite.

You can't choose between those.

You must got them all.

Also get Planescape Torment.

I don't own these on Steam, so I can't vote. Icewind Dale is the best of the expanded games, though.

Kill me please, I haven't played any of these, but they are on my GOG-backlog :|
Arcanum and Planescape Torment are not on Steam, but they are great - I would mention Fallout (especially the 2nd one) from Steam-games :)

Those games were made by Black Isle Studios, not Bioware, back when developing and releasing games with substance were more important than corporate greed. Nowadays, you get half-baked crap like Inquisition.

On topic, I wouldn't be able to choose between Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale games because they are all very well crafted but Planescape: Torment trumps them all. I am expecting Tides of Numenera to be even better, but only time will tell. I still have the retail discs of these games at home.

Planescape: Torment has a community hubpage on Steam.
Hopefully waiting for a release.

I know all about Tides of Numenera; all the hardcore CRPG people are waiting on it
