Specifically, not really. I've always had interests in ethics and religion, but really, the more I learned about philosophy, the more I wanted to learn more. I just found a feeling of belonging when in classes. But, very influentially, was another philosophy student whose speaking in class really was inspiring, and I just aspired to be more like him, being so at peace with the conflicts of the universe and the inner workings of minds. Basically, I find the discussions fun as hell, and I would really enjoy a life of doing just that.

Congrats! I've been back at college for two weeks now (sophomore year!), and it's already kicking my butt. But hopefully I'll do better than I did last year (programming is terribly hard, apparently, and no one bothered telling me :P).

hey my sister goes to Berkeley too! I don't have much advice, but i know that there's this one shop in Berkeley called Cream where they sell ice cream sandwiches between two cookies. It was awesome x] Hope you have fun!

Cool dude, back in university too! As a business student, I feel that it is more pratical, but the job market is pretty saturated and you need to do quite a bit to make yourself stand out. But university is definitely great, hope you enjoy it tons

And I'm so self-involved that I'd make a thread about it. Also, I have some giveaways to give away, a couple for now anyhow.
I just ended my first week at UC Berkeley, it's really a change for me. I'm majoring in Philosophy (no comments from the peanut gallery, or go ahead, I've already heard that I won't make $$$). And I transferred from community college. It's really my first time living for a long time away from home.
Anyway, I enjoy Steamgifts, and I'd like to have some excuse to make a couple forum giveaways. So... Enjoy!
