It was always a Build your own, its just that those who reserved it for $1 before the bundle was revealed got the whole package.

When I visited the page with games already showing it had something like '$1 to get' above the games. When I then, a bit later, logged in and wanted to buy the bundle this text was gone. I did not check the payment options down below before I logged in though.
