Most games that have sexually explicit content. If it has good gameplay, like a cool metroidvania, I might overlook it. Not a big fan of VNs or dating sims so most of those I hide. Anything that is an asset flip or one of those shit games that have a ridiculous price get hidden. Basically if I know I wouldn't play it I'll hide it.

+1 Same boat here
I do this with both Steam & SteamGifts
That I don't accidentally enter into a giveaway for something I have no interest in playing
The only problem is that it can be easy to miss the missing eye icon when going through trains.
It would be nice if they greyed out the page a bit to indicate that you've hidden the game.

porn, asset flips, overpriced 50 points games that are clearly gabage

Any game I don't have any interest in. No bigger criteria than that. :D

I do hide sexual content game, but most of the time I hide games I own elsewhere of steam (epic, gog, amazon even itch.io) I'm not that attached to play on steam so If I have a game, I hide.
Also I hide some game I clearly will never play like platform games (I don't think it's bad, just I don't like the genre personally)

looks like crap (below 60% reviews, bought reviews, Gamesforgames, etc.)
I have it elsewhere (Epic GA, et cetera)
totally disinterested in the genre (like 100% rhythm game)

My only criteria is that it annoys me. NSFW, shovelware, games that became bundled/free and now there's 50 giveaways per hour.
But I usually just check the Wishlist and Group tab for giveaways, I don't expect to find anything interesting in the others.

Most commonly: porn games.
I also hide anything already owned, anything that looks interesting based on the name and artwork if I click and it isn't interesting to save time from thinking it's something for me again.
Then there's asset flips - they get hidden.
I also tend to hide anything whose artwork looks like it was made by an 8 year old in MS Paint.

I started hiding the shovelware porn games recently. Either that or I own the game and can still enter.

I only hide games that I know I'd be interested in at a glance but that I've decided not to play because of reviews or other research, my wishlist is 1000+ strong so seeing an ignored game helps me to inmediately discard the game when I'm looking for things to add to it. I also ignore really popular stuff I'm not intersted in playing but those are few and far between really. I don't play porn games or games with mixed reviews so I just let those poor fuckers be lol

I have 25k+ hidden games. Didn't even notice until now.
I always hide games with negative reviews. If it has no reviews and it's a new game I sometimes let it pass. But if it has no reviews even though it's not a new game, I hide those too. Then there is genre criteria. Visual novel, h*ntai, grand strategy to name a few.
