I have no idea but interestingly enough I was in the middle of setting up a giveaway for the ship complete pack when you posted this.

It was a temporary promotion that when you were gifted a copy of the ship, it would create more.

I wish I'd known about it, I could have spread the love, I've had this copy since December. (which I just posted if anyone wants to enter XD)

I don't know if it's still going on, but the original thing was that the first person who got a copy of the Ship would get two copies to give out. The person who got those copies would get another 1 to give themselves. I'm not sure that's still the case however.

"Purchase The Ship and receive two extra activations to send to your friends! Additionally, any user that receives a gift activation will be able to give one additional activation to a friend."
Direct from the store page. Still there guess it is still going looks like a total of five copies.

You buy "The Ship" on Steam. You get the license you've purchased plus two extra copies.

Each person who gets one of those extra copies, gets another copy. They can send it to someone else, however these last copies of the chain won't generate any new extra gifts upon activation.

It's a "5-pack" in disguise.

Its actually a pretty interesting game but there really arent that many people that play it DX
