I personally don't like cheap looking games. To play pixel games on ultra wide 27" 200Hz monitor with i9 and GTX3080 (don't worry, I don't have any)? Also the guy who was the first to add arcade into a PnC game should burn make a public apology

"Cheap looking" is not objective, that's your opinion which you have every right to have of course, but that pixel art looks sweet compared to what you can see elsewhere. Looks to the side, a good pixel artist will charge 1000€ per tile set if not more, so there's nothing really cheap about it. If they wanted to make a game dirt cheap, they'd just use low poly 3D assets floating various marketplaces dirt cheap and free. Custom made pixel art costs money. Ofc, that doesn't make it appeal to everyone, but I'm just saying, things that look "old" and "cheap" don't have to be in reality.
