Unless you want to overpay, or buy because of the looks, it's always much better to buy very good headphones and a cheap mic.

I've got a corsair 1500, and it's ok, but hate the issue that it has static noise ... so don't get those xD

I've had the misfortune to try many over the years at lans and conventions. The ones I've got on with best and still have years later are my Saitek GH20. They are at the budget end of the market but I've found them to be the most comfortable and clear in and out. No jokes about their special feature thank you :P

I bet you use the special feature for other stuff on a regular basis lol.

Thanks for the heads up on the Antlion Modmic. I've been looking for a good mic to attach to my Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro and this seems to fit the bill. Now I just need to find a European reseller.

Just my 2c worth ... The Logitech G930 Wireless Gaming Headset is amazing! I have one, bought it over a year ago and haven't regretted it once!

I use that one too. Only drawback: i use my computer more than 16 hours a day, and it got only 10-12h of battery life...
As for general speaking about Logitech: most of their stuff is reallu sturdy, i still use the same old mouse & keybord, bought them 4-6 years ago....

Logitech are amazing. My keyboard, mouse, headset and speakers have all been Logitech (various models) for quite some time, and I don't see that changing. They have great quality and perfect customer service with regards to warranties etc.
As for the battery life, the G930 comes with a convenient USB charge cable, that has a socket in it for the wireless receiver (so it doesn't take an extra USB on the PC).

Logitech G930. I love the fact that the reception range is quite big, it's wireless, it has 3 buttons and a volume scroll wheel.

I use a creative Fatal1ty headset. Its cheap and good.
Cons: USB only(If that matters to you), It might be tight around the ears(if you have a big head)

Hello people, I have been recently interested in gaming hardware so I am really new. I have narrowed down my choices to these two gaming headsets:
What is your experience with gaiming headsets?
