If you are doing public giveaway there's no real need to attach a thread to it,everyone can see it anyway. If you want to make giveaway specific for a thread make Invite only one :>

Technically, trains are for multiple Invite Only giveaways, which link from one to the next. You don't need to make a post for public giveaways, as they've visible to everyone.
