Show GA creator's country if they share it on Steam?
Not that I like this idea, but despite of that, it would make much more sense to show region that is set on SG, since people often set incorrect country on steam profile, but setting incorrect country on sg is not only harder, but also makes no much sense. I mean the one that is show on profile page.

I don't know if it's a good idea, simply because of the toxicity that can come with national identity on any site.
However, I do think that people who repeatedly make region lock GAs without checking, when they know full well they are in region locked regions should get punished so they don't do it over and over just to get more entries.
Like you say, it's inconvenient for the person who gets fake wins, and the mods have to re-roll endlessly, when they have other things to do.

I remember support saying that they don't re-roll giveaways where winner can't activate the game because of region lock. That being said, they also need winner's consent to remove giveaway, so now I wonder what happened here:
I could not enter into that game for a couple days until it was deleted (or re-rolled?).

Not sure what you mean with the 'Someone from support abusing their power?' but as soon as you won a game, you can no longer join any giveaways of that game unless the giveaway gets re-rolled or deleted, only after that you can join them again which is to prevent people winning multiple giveaways of the same game while waiting for a key/gift.

I know we can't enter if we won. I just wonder how could the giveaway disappear by itself, without user interaction. You see, to be able to enter for the same game again I can see three ways:
- Wait for a week and mark as not received - requires winner interaction.
- Reroll - if winner haven't violated any rule, can only be done with their consent - requires winner interaction.
- Giveaway deleted - always requires winner consent - requires winner interaction.
So I don't understand why winner don't know what happened for sure.

Because he most likely stated he couldn't use it and was fine with either re-roll or deletion since to him either one means the same outcome which incl. him not getting the game and then never looked back so no clue if it was re-rolled or deleted which doesn't matter to the old winner anyway

Or them just being busy and understaffed, as you often complain about. Why immediately jump to conclusions and accusations? As Maruten said, you can not enter for giveaways for games that you won and are on the hold for you.

We don't allow rerolls for improperly flagged region locks because it often would end up with reroll after reroll. As each new winner would not be able to activate, another request would come in, and that then runs the risk of the key being exposed to additional people, which increases the risk the final winner would not be able to get a working key.

I'm normally always for more functionality.
However, I feel like it might discourage people entering giveaways where people are from countries with low pricing such as Russia out of concern that they don't have a legit key - even if they have a worldwide key or a gift.
Also there's a possibility that people coming across the giveaway see the country flag and think that represents the region restrictions rather than the country the gifter is from.
In theory I think that it would be nice for a small amount of people who are looking for that feature, but it may confuse many more. I think its something which should be an option in ESGST or something rather than an actual SG feature for that reason.

You know what, small detail but i had the same problem with Hitman 2. Contacted HB support, they told me gifter should contact us. He contacted and... bam. It worked :)

Exactly. I had one GA winner contact me about the HB link giving a region locked key. I contacted HB support, and they put a new key on the same link that worked. :)

This was last discussed about 4 years ago and appears to be shot down for not having any utility. But I believe it has utility now.
With Humble Bundles recent Hitman 2 and Xcom 2 Region locks, it would be nice to see the creators flag inside the GA.
I've already got hit once on a Hitman 2 locked GA I won. Because I won, all my other GA entrees were pulled and I could not enter into that game for a couple days until it was deleted (or re-rolled?). Not the end of the world, but sucks during the initial rush on a bundle.
To avoid that, I have to go to the GA's creator's Steam page and look for their country.
Saved me from entering a couple Russian Hitman2 GAs, but time consuming.
Doesnt have to be anywhere else on this site, just in a GA.
