I have AMD 6 six core, 10gb ddr3, 1tb, windows 8. But the graphics card is not for AAA titles at all. Do you guys have any suggestions on what i should look for in a card? I'd like to play BF4 without sacrificing for low settings. $200 is my budget, thanks for any help

How does one end up with 10GB RAM?

For me an ASUS HD7870 does it's job very well on 1440p resolution and it's very well price for that too.

4+4+1+1? Or 4+4+2? Or something as insane...

159€ is what I paid for my 7870 so it should be in the right price range. R9 270X is the other option depending which you can find for better price.

PCPartPicker is your fiend for find good prices. I would like to know which AMD CPU you have and your powersupply. (specifically the 12 volt rails(s). it will say something like 12v@26A or the like) You should only get a card your powersupply can handle.

If you are looking for comparisons, check out this and This tool.

I would go with either a 7870 or a 660. depends on if you want nvidia or amd

This is the PSU Internal 300W (100V-240V)
•Form factor: Internal ATX
•Total wattage: 300W

that will be a problem you need a better PSU if you are getting a new GPU. 400+ at least.

Make sure it is at least 80 plus certified. That way you know for sure it has at least 80% efficiency. Which is what you want.

You Need to change PSU and VGA. a XFX 550W or OCZ ModxTream 600W is the better choice

Total then is likely over 200$, but yeah it's reasonable PSU.

It's plastic, probably not good...

Like this?
That is one weird setup, I'm too used to standard ATX and now I'm not even sure if it can fit long 7870...

Maybe it could work just by removing the guards from other extension ports and having the PSU and GPU suck their own air in that way...

That one has a quite bad efficiency, he should go for Gold or Platinum but not Bronze. But if such stuff doesn't matter for you sure go ahead.

But yeah, 300W won't get him far. Should be at least 450W to be safe. I'm not that familiar with HP, but if they tend to do the same crap DELL does (or used to do, not sure) he'll probably need a new motherboard too. I remember having a DELL (10 years ago) and the mainboard wouldn't connect with a normal PSU.

+1 for the 7870. You might also wanna check the new R9 270x, but i'm not sure it's really worth the ±50$ difference.

If you get this card, you will have $70 left over for a psu.

600W is way too much. And the efficency is only 72%. Whatever you do, don't use this. Get something along 500W (I'm using 450W here and it's perfectly stable) with a good efficiency. AT LEAST 80+ and not from a company like Xilence.

You should be okay with something like a Radeon 7850 or GeForce 660. Anything above that would require a PSU change.

Umm I don't think 300W is good for those...

Definitely not good enough. Anything that uses an external power plug won't be able to be used.

They're ~100W cards. The CPU has a declared TDP of 95W. It should be fine. Changing the PSU might be tricky; from what I can tell by some photos on the web, his computer has a short-length PSU. Something bigger might not even fit properly in the case.
