They're called Hidden Object Adventure Games or Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure Games :)

About a year and a half, since I created my steam account on 16 May, 2014.
I did finish Hitman Absolution; Sleeping Dogs, LA Noire; The Amazing Spider-Man; a few LEGO games, some HOG and puzzles.

Trails in the Sky is an incredibly well made RPG with great story, decent gameplay and attention to many tiny details, and I'd really like to play the sequel. It's admittedly a pain in the ass to obtain 100% achievements.
Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 is also a nice RPG, but different from Trails in many aspects. Its story is much more humorous and tongue-in-cheek.
100% Orange Juice is fun for multiplayer shenanigans.
La-Mulana provides lots of challenge, but I have to say that it's not a game for everyone because of how overwhelming it is. If you want something difficult, look no more.
There is nothing I can say that will do Dark Souls justice.

Wow congrats on your 100% on La-Mulana, those "get all available dialog from NPCs" are quite a pain. Still can't beat the final boss in hard without special weapons either.
As for myself, Astats says 91 games 100%'d, but there are a few games with broken achievement in there so they're not "real" 100%s. I find it hilarious that the list is pretty inconsistent, ranging from easy peasy HOGs to Dark Souls and obscure indie games with 5 players.

Currently at 47 and completion rate 79%. There are some games that I am missing 1-3 achievements, but would require full playthrough again and haven't felt like I would bother with that so the number would be higher.
Lately I have the approach that I will 100% the game if it seems fair/enjoyable, not really into grinding achievements.
I think the most fun I had with "Expeditions: Conquistador" for some reason.

Yeah indie puzzlers seem pretty easy compared to aaa games :D but still all games take a lot of efford to reach 100% :D

Hidden Object Games.
Indie puzzles are actually among the tougher nuts. For example, I had to give up all attempts on 100%ing LIMBO. The beat the game in 5 deaths is practically impossible since the last room is pure RNG whether you happen to die or not.

The puzzles are nice. Not too easy, but not really difficult. I had fun getting the achievements. There's just one boring grind-achievement (cutting wood), but you just watch tv or something while doing that.

I'm too lazy for many achievements. I managed Skyrim, Terraria and Long Live the Queen (which took a big ass spreadsheet). I'm nearly there on XCOM, Saints Row the Third and Cat Goes Fishing...

No, I screwed myself over for a bunch of achievements (Daedric Influence, etc) when I first played the game and also I didn't have the DLC. I went for another playthrough while I was recovering from a serious illness and made getting the rest of the achievements one of my goals - way less than 200 hours for that playthrough and I could have done it quicker if that had been my goal. Werewolf Mastered and Vampire Mastered were probably the worst for me.

It's a long story but I'd lost a lot of blood and due to where it happened I got saline rather than whole blood and then I couldn't get actual blood as well because it would have pushed my blood pressure up too high or something. So I couldn't stand up for a while without getting dizzy and the iron tablets that were supposed to help made me really constipated and I couldn't take the laxatives that would have helped with that because of the hole in my guts...
Basically I just played a lot of Skyrim for a while and didn't have to feel guilty about it! It was a big win!

It could have been pretty miserable, but games really took my mind off it. I also travel for work a lot and games help with that on train journeys and stuff - but I have to do a lot of that in offline mode and miss out on achievements otherwise I'd be doing a lot better in certain games!

yeah traveling by train is a special kind of pain :s my way to school is like 3h per day with train and bus so i know your feel :s
and i cant even use my mobile internet for steam because most of the trip is without mobile signal :s

My trains usually have chargers for my laptop but you have to pay for wi-fi. So offline mode for Steam for me...

Had most fun with Transistor blasted through recourse mode (aka NG+) directly after I finished it the first time.
Dust An Elysian Tale, Mark of the Ninja and Hotline Miami were pretty fun aswell.
And since I loved both Darksider games so much I 100%ed both not that long ago and grinded the remaining achievments :D
EDIT: Currently working on (from time to time) or not missing many achievments: Trine 2, Betrayer, DeadCore, Fez, Gunpoint, Hitman Absolution, Out there somwhere and Monaco

I just abused the ever-living hell out of the thief's specials and it was pretty tame. The DLC was a nightmare though since it required that stupid "shoot anti-grav arrow into the middle of nothing" trick every third step for the experience collection.
