Burnout's "spiritual sequel" is coming next month and its called Danger Zone.

This game was teased over a year ago, more probably and now it's closer to reality than I ever expected and it's due to be released next month! Look https://www.vg247.com/2017/04/26/spiritual-successor-to-burnout-is-called-danger-zone-and-its-coming-to-pc-ps4-in-may/ so, did they take enough time to develop it with the release so close? Is the test dummy facility setting a bit off putting? Because it is for me. I love the game for both the races and the crashes and Burnout Legend gave us the best of both worlds together and separately, I hope this isn't just a crash game, and I do hope it turns out better than Flatout 4, let's wait and see then.

If I understand correctly, this is only a successor to Burnout's crash mode ? (Something which Burnout Crash! failed at, ironically)
Could be fun, but I'd miss the proper races...

There was a Burnout Crash? Man im a ignorant. I like the crazy adrenaline pumping races with epic crashes trown in it too. But the thing is, they never said they were making this game with just crashes as the main point\focus\only feature of the game so I am worried...

As far as I can remember Burnout Crash was more of a top down mobile game that also got released for consoles.

Yeah, article is misleading. I didn't care much for the crash mode in the Burnout games, but I loved the races. Taking one mode from Burnout that not everyone played doesn't make it a spiritual successor of that game..

Anyway, this is by the same dev as Dangerous Golf, which was a let down and had shitty tacked on multiplayer (you can't even spectate your friends IIRC, you all play at the same time and compete for the best score without seeing the other persons screen).

Got my hopes up for a minute there lol. Burnout Revenge was my favorite in the series, Burnout Paradise was ok but I didn't like the open world elements

first of all, misleading piece of news: Looking at past titles, they are clearly too small of a team to release a full Burnout game.
Judging by the images, it's nothing more than Crash mode, my least favorite event in the Burnout franchise...so, NAH

EDIT: For a game filled with explosions, it looks rather dull looking and not at all colorful
