I'm not sure how the topic can be off topic but I'll just go with it. I've forgotten most of the story so parts of it might be wrong but most of it should be somewhat right.
Humans take off into space, probably because of a lack of resources. Then some of them choose to stay on a planet and the rest leave. Some kind of gas on the planet starts killing them and they are forced to wear masks so they are able to live. War begins.
Can someone tell me if I'm somewhat right?

i know this sounds wierd though i barely know the stroyline ive been playing the multiplayer and it just feels like world war 2 i mean in my opinion it feels like the ISA are the resistance and the helghast are the germans and i find the STA-3 LMG looks like the MG42 and even though its a helghast weapon the STA-11 from the side looks like a BAR ive also found resemblances in what they wear as the helmet and gas mask germans known for usually wearing gas masks and the helmet looks like the german one sure i havent found any resemblances in the ISA and the storyline is probably nothing like WWII plus it takes place in the future but does anyone else atleast agree with some of this?
