How about a compliment to the good people at SG? For all the leeches and online trolls everywhere, there are good generous people on SG who make it a great and rare place to hang out. And I mean generous in spirit and in soul, not about gifts. People supporting each others.

I think I'm pretty good at that but unfortunately most of the people in my life (and that includes my girlfriend, best friend and twin) are terrible at taking compliments so I try to spend my compliment budget at work :P

It's not easy taking compliments, is it? I don't think I'm especially good at it either.
My boss is fine with anything in the kitchen as long as it doesn't cross the line into inappropriate or bullying. There is usually more teasing than complimenting but I think it's important to tell people they did good when they do. I try to restrict my compliments to work and actions, nothing that could be misinterpreted lol

Yeah, I feel what you mean. Sometimes it can be hard to tell whether people really mean the compliment at face value, whether they're being sarcastic in a veiled way, whether they're trying to butter you up, and so on. Making compliments that can't be misinterpreted is truly an art form, and everyone sucks at it at least to a degree. :D

People tend to like if you compliment them from time time so make someone happy today :) I even have an example what happens if one doesn't get even a single compliment.
