Woohoow! Although I'm kind of disappointed as a kickstarter backer, I'm won't be one of the few that got into the early alpha/beta.

Just saw this in the store. Is it supposed to be a spiritual successor to the total annihilation series, or is it just a 'coincidence' that it's nearly the same game? Either way, I'm excited for it.

Yeah it's supposed to be. Former TA and SupCom devs are working at Uber Entertainment now.

The bottom section about the team leads mentions this. I've also spoken to some of the other developers and a lot of them were involved in Sup Com and TA.

Indeed. TA actually had a unit cap without mods! Especially with other planets, this game is definitely on my 'buy on release day' list.

You can already Preorder it, $40 to buy it (Get it at release), $60 for Beta Access, $90 for Alpha Access, $200 for Alpha + Other Junk.

$40? I was thinking more like $30, damn. :-/ But it still isn't that bad, the game looks pretty good!

Once every few weeks I just have to watch their Kickstarter video, it makes me laugh whenever I hear 'We're pointing for awesome' or see John Patrick Lowrie taking his shirt off.

I personally don't see how $40 is overpriced. There is a great team working on the game that's actually working with the community to make the game.

But I guess to each there own.

I don't think they'll follow this pattern. It's more likely that they'll follow the Kickstarter way so they won't upset any kickstarter backers. So 90$ for Alpha, 60$ for Beta and 40$ for the full game.
