Now there's the possibility of entering the game key/link when creating the giveaway, so there's no need to send an email to the winner. This is very nice and a huge help.
But it would be nice if, in case of a problem, it was possible to contact the giveaway creator.
What make think this would be useful/necessary? I won a giveaway today. The link appeared to me. But the link was actually to another game. I believe the giver could have just been mistaken and posted the wrong link. But I have to contact him/her to say so!
Through the giveaway page I found his/her Steam Profile and went there to post a message. Thing is... I can't post a message to him/her! I sent a friend invitation, but these don't go with a "want to write something in it?" so unless he/she accepts my friend request (which he/she don't know why I sent it to him/her) he/she won't know that he/she sent me the wrong link (and that I'll have to mark the giveaway as not received).
So, I think there should be a way to contact the giveaway creator when there's trouble. Be that by showing the giver's email or sending a private message to him/her here on Steamgifts (maybe showing it besides his/her giveaway in his/her 'created giveaway's page').
Or am I not seeing another way to contact him/her??

Thanks for telling me.
I searched but couldn't find it. Probably I didn't though of enough alternatives for a title or the thread have a really bad title itself. So I think I'll leave this one open.

Yeah I usually just write on the giveaway page to contact the giver.

In the meantime, you can post on the giveaway page too.

Good point, you both.
By the way,my case is solved. I was dumb, actually. He/she SENT me the RIGHT link. I just had a link to another game and forgot about it. So, I was the one mixing up the links. XD

Wouldn't like to see the gifter's email displayed to the giveaway "winner".

In the case of a re-roll, this could leave the gifter open to a heap of rancorous and unneccesary correspondence. At least you can decline a friend request on Steam with very minimal effort...

It could also lead to newbie winners harrassing the gifter the moment the giveaway closes. There are enough forum posts of this type already, where a winner is bleating that the giveaway ended TWO HOURS AGO, and they have NOT RECEIVED THEIR GIFT YET!

I think it's a valid point.
In my opinion the better option would be a kind of PM side by side with the giveaway (in the winner's created giveaway's page).

That could be a workable solution, although I don't know how big a job that would be for cg.

In the few cases where there has been an issue with a giveaway, I've never had a problem getting it sorted on Steam chat.

If all else fails, with the new system, you can also easily reply to one of their posts, either in the giveaway itself or elsewhere on the site, and they will be alerted to your message with a little red indicator in the "Messages" section at the top of their screen. A simple "please contact me/accept my friend request on Steam re your Bad Rats giveaway" would work.

+1 bad idea. Also invites people to sign you up for spam emails if they aren't happy.
