Maybe take a look at the DLC for Helldivers, there's a lot more than what is offered in Tier 3.

True.. But it doesn't seem any of the DLC's are required for the achievements. :] So paying $4 extra from BTA to tier 3 and get Helldivers isn't too bad..
On the other hand concerning DLC's, it may be worth to buy "HELLDIVERS™ Digital Deluxe Edition" instead.. Eeh, idk. I'll think about it and keep a tab open.

Yup. Maybe you could try an Android emulator, but you still need a friend to play with. Sitting right next to you. Since it's Local co-op only, despite misleading tags provided on Store's page. Ugh.
