It seems that many people complain about how either it takes a long time to deliver a gift or to get receive feedback. In order to fix this problem, I was thinking that instead of giving the game to the winner afterwards, it was given to Steam Gifts beforehand instead. When the time is up, the site instantly delivers it to the winner. This ensures that the game is delivered and received quickly. Of course, if the game is a key, the winner still needs to check if it is valid. This would mean changing the system to valid and invalid, but both sides can benefit much faster.

another giveaway site does this. And trust me. after not receiving A gift on here that system is much better in that way as it ensures they had it in the first place. But that would take an overhaul on the site to impliment i'm sure but things for the most part are already good enough. The system works. I mean how can people complain when they are getting free stuff? Also it would ((in some cases take longer) as they have to either make a bot to do the heavy lifting or do it themselves. And that would make another job for someone to do. The way it is now it takes away some of the load off the admins.

Honestly, I can see why it would seem a good idea, they do it for dev giveaways, after all. But it does require work on support's part and the extra work would then add time in creating the giveaways which is no better.

I don't think it would be any faster if Steamgifts staff had to handle hundreds of games each day. IF anything, it would be much, much slower. Yes, sometimes it takes a little time before the gifter and winner complete the "transaction" but the system is working fine as it is.

My only wish is for a way to dismiss the green bar while waiting.

My only wish is for people to confirm that I've sent them a gift. I only had 1 copy of nightsky to give away and I can't repick a winner because I don't know if the original winner has activated the key or not.

Yep. Let's add yet another layer of traffic and programming to the site. Because it's absolutely necessary to appease the impatient.

unlike other sites, we have the choice to reroll giveaways and we can't reroll after giving away the key or gift
i think you may want to go to playblink instead but they accept gifts only

Very bad idea as Steam Gifts allows giveaways of keys.

And no, to me that option only increases leechiness by eliminating the human touch of the gifts. If that was the case Id leave.

This was already suggested.
Failed miserably of course.
They do not want to be responsible for anything:

  • the site could get hacked.
  • the site could crash.
  • the site could do something wrong and all the keys and games just disappear.
