I have never played Burnout Paradise, but I loved Burnout 3

I just bought Hot Pursuit and played 30 minutes of the game and I am not too impressed, it seems okay, not not great. I don't like the controls of the cars.

I am starting to wish I bough Burnout Paradise

Cars handling the same in Paradise/Hot Pursuit/Most Wanted. So if you didn't like the handling in one you won't like it in the others.

You are a complete ignorant if you disconsider Burnout Paradise.

He doesn't know the bandwagon is fading away..

Get both if you can, it'll be, what? $10 for both?

HP and Burnout are different enough that they both warrant a purchase. Handling is similar unfortuantly.

How is not supporting a company that does terrible things to the whole gaming industy and gamers is "bandwagoning"? Its just common sense to not invite a robber into your home.

Although I guess some people are ok with EA buying quality developers and games and then systematically destroying them for money to buy and exploit new devs and ips with it... and their shitty drm ideas, microtransactions up the ass, terrible post launch support, etc. If somehow a game published by EA happens to be good, its just an accidental miscalculation, or a lack of attention from EA, rather than intentional.

Bandwagon? Okay, let us forget all the companies EA has stomped to the ground, all the franchises they've ruined. Look at this compilation, and see how many are still active, and what games they produced.

It isn't about jumping on the hatewagon. Don't be a sheep and forgive everything they've done, just because they have few games for sale.

"TO REGISTER FOR AN EA ONLINE ACCOUNT.

EA MAY RETIRE ONLINE FEATURES AFTER 30 DAYS NOTICE POSTED ON www.ea.com.

INCLUDES SOFTWARE THAT COLLECTS DATA ONLINE NECESSARY TO PROVIDE INGAME ADVERTISING."

This may be why he said that, and this is why i ignore this forever. Good luck to support this and all future customer abuse!

I grabbed both today :P

I've previously played Burnout Paradise on 360 (bough it on Steam since this seems to be some special edition) and it wasn't bad, though I prefer the previous games in the series.

I'd say both, but BP is one of my favorite racing games ever. Hot Pursuit is still a good game though, in multiplayer was really fun to smash friends and drop a spike strip after them with a trollface.

Burnout Paradise. Tons of fun, varied gameplay (cars/4x4/bikes with different characteristics), awesome to play with friends. I enjoyed the first hours of NFS : Hot Poursuit, but quickly got bored. Didn't liked the handling of the cars, don't see that much differences between cars, some races are lame, ect... btw it may be fun in multiplayer, didn't tried.

Steering in NFS Hot Pursuit is so unresponsive it's basically unplayable. Burnout Paradise on the other hand is a great arcade racer, and well worth your time.

hot pursuit steering is annoying true, but much more fun then burnout paradise which is just absolutely the same thing all the way with fake cars

Burnout Paradise is much better in my opinion.
The only bad thing which both game suffer from is the annoying song at the start of the game. You can't skip it. I'd get so mad when I hear "take me down to the paradise city...". I mean it's cool the first few times, but God does it get frustrating later on.

Hmm maybe it's a kind of mp3 file in games folder? if yes you can try to make a mp3 file with the same name of original file or make a mute file?

On the topic i was more like NFS: Hot Pursuit - for me the better is racing as a cop in some deserted areas.
