Does this also include the other version?

No, why should it?

Totally seperate thing, even though confusing them having kept the same name.

I might have read comments about the features JustDucky described and confused those with the remaster maybe.

No, I meant the Ubi game, but I was obviously misled about versions. Didn't look much into the games. I played this in an Amiga 64 as a child I think

Commodore 64 or amiga*. And most likely Amiga.

Hahaha, yes Amiga 500 I meant. It may have been an Amiga 1200, I should ask my older brothers, most likely the first one.

I must ask, is it a good port? Some classic games leave a bit to be desired when they reach steam.

Is not exactly a port. Is the old PC version with some added features that are optional.

Good, then I'll pick it up.
I could swear the original wasn't for PC tho, guess I was wrong.

First on Amiga and then ported to almost everything

I have the "original" PC version, it's hard to know what would be considered a port when it ran so well.

What's a port and what's not can get messy sometimes, but most likely that one counts as a port.

Thank you for the info. It's a golden classic from my teenage years :)

Flashback has been ported to absolutely every system there is. It's up there with the original Doom and RE4.

Another World and Sonic 1 are also up there in the "if it can run it, port it" approach to game publishing.

The reboot of Flashback allows you to play the original Flashback inside it... some of you may already have it.

...I do recommend picking this up though.

It should be available on the title screen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ggb59saLqtw&t=4795 though it looks like possibly the worst way to play the game, unless of course there's an option hidden somewhere in the settings to get rid of the ridiculous arcade cabinet and fix sounds.

Should be a law against doing this .
Prey was another one that annoyed a lot of gamers ,well ,maybe just me :P
They're never as good as the old classics ,it's like it's done on purpose to sully the name or something ,weird.

yeh , long ago now ,you only really hear about it in reference to this one.

The new Prey was pretty good, though. Very different, and it didn't have anything to do with the original, sure. But I would probably rate it about the same as the old one.

Yeh ,true ,it was ok ,nothing that memorable though unlike the original Prey which was a pretty cool game for the time.

There is one game name (can't remember) that had 5 different games with the same name (different devs).

Prey was actually a problem though, because you couldn't install them side by side until someone updated the older Prey to change the folder name it installed to in SteamApps.

Yeh ,i remember that issue ,went on for quite a while.
I never understand why they copy a game title ,there's just no need to have a game with the exact same name ,never mind the problems like this it can cause.
They must be aware of it when they do it ,
Some sort of weird piggybacking on the old game title that just ends up confusing and annoying lots of gamers.

On sale for $1.49 (90% off till the May 9). I hear pretty good things about 'The Way' as well. Its in the vein of Flashback and Another World (Out of this World). Own it, just haven't tried it yet.

I played this one in the 90s and not liked, never managed to pass some part of the game and I was never good in platformer games either. So I stopped playing it and kept playing Civilization 1 for an additional few K hours (and other strategy games like Master of Magic, Warcraft, Dune2000, etc).

But now I have a feeling I need to play this again and get through the parts I stuck a few decades ago, as now is possible to get hints on the internet.

amazing game. so nostalgic. :)
This comes from an age where games were really hardcore. And also worth every penny. Gameplay above all else. I never finished it. I did reach a very far part of the game I remember. To be fair the hard games are easier to remember as we grow older. Things that we finish easily, are also easily forgotten. The 90s was the golden era of gaming for me. Games really made you imagine stuff. Imagination at its best.
