hi guys,
I'm twenty minutes in on watching maleficent and whilst watching it I couldn't but notice Jolies acting.
It just strikes me as very odd, not very natural, very artificial.
Not saying shes a bad actress, I've quite enjoyed lot's of her movies, from tomb raider to mr. and mrs. smith but in this last installment she really is putting me off, and quite killing the mood.
what's your opinion about her and the movie maleficent?

bah, when i was younger she did seem hot in tomb raider but now i don't know, she just doesn't do it (both the tomb raider jolie and the present one).
Don't get me wrong, she is a stunning woman but I don't find her so attractive now

Yeah, and she was the perfect actress to play tomb raider too, but yeah she is not that great now though.

I have not yet watched Maleficent, but your description reminded me of another actress in another movie. I've always appreciated Jodie Foster's acting in movies like Panic Room, Inside Man, Flight Plan and of course Silence of the Lambs. However, in her recent movie - Elysium - her acting was absolutely abysmal!
