Steam Key Giveaway Question

Hello, I have a question regarding how sending Steam key works. When I create a giveaway, put the key in and then the winner is drawn, how does the "send key" do?
Send the key to the winner mail? Or what?
So, what if I decided to request a new winner?

Even when you enter the key in, it still must be sent by you to the winner. You will still have the chance to make sure the winner is legit.

The winner cannot see the key before you press "send key".

You can add the key before or after the giveaway ends, if you need a re-roll you can file a ticket to support.

No.
You can attach a key to your giveaway and "send" it: the winner will see the key on this site.
Or you can send it in email, since you will see the winner's email address.
You can also add them on Steam and deliver the key in chat.

It is up to you.

I tried to contact the winner, but no response so far. I'm afraid if I ask for new winner, but the previous winner suddenly activate the key... well...
